The vision that would eventually become International Jesus Mission began to take shape in Israel nearly two decades ago. At that time, there were few churches serving many of the Asian and international communities around her. Rather than waiting for people to come to church, Pastor D believed the Church needed to go where the people were.

During those pioneering years, she became the first Asian woman pastor to establish and lead a church in Jerusalem. Her ministry grew among Asians, Africans, Americans, Jews, Arabs, migrant workers, families, young adults, prisoners, and people from many nations. Churches were planted, believers were discipled, leaders were trained, pastors were ordained, and men and women were prepared and sent into ministry.

Some of the most demanding work took place around Streets in Tel Aviv, where Pastor D and her team regularly reached people struggling with drug and alcohol addiction, homelessness, and broken lives. The work was not easy. There were setbacks, personal losses, and difficult situations, but they continued returning to the streets. Many eventually came into the church, received guidance and support, and began rebuilding their lives. Those years left Pastor D with a conviction she still carries today: no person should be considered too lost to be reached.

Israel also became a doorway to the nations. Pastor D traveled from Israel to preach in countries across Asia, Europe and Africa and beyond, becoming one of the pioneering pastors within her ministry setting to carry this work internationally. She helped organize large international Christian conferences in Israel and connected representatives from Asia and Israel with annual international gatherings in the United States.

Over more than 22 years of ministry, she has traveled to 28 countries to preach and share the Gospel and has served in three countries through long-term ministry. She has preached in churches, villages, streets, prisons, crusades, universities, and gatherings attended by thousands, including evangelistic meetings of more than 10,000 people. Her ministry has also received media attention at different times in Israel and the United States.

Across those years, Pastor D has had the privilege of baptizing approximately 3,500 people around the world, including many in the Jordan River.

Yet for her, ministry has never been measured by crowds or numbers. People know they can call Pastor D when a child is born, when someone is in the hospital or prison, when a family is grieving, or when someone simply needs prayer and encouragement. From toddlers to university students and seniors, ministry has always meant walking with people through real life.
